Poland decided to strengthen its border with Belarus in response to claims that Wagner and his boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, had moved to Minsk, informed Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Moravetsky on June 25.
Moravetsky and the chairman of the Ministry of National Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blashak, visited the territory of the country's 18th intelligence regiment, followed by the Polish-Belarusian border, on June 25.
Moravetsky claims that Warsaw is closely monitoring the outcome of Russia's military rebellion, and the Polish military has reinforced its borders with Belarus and the Kaliningrad area.
The prime minister indicated that these steps are being taken in reaction to a potential threat from Moscow, since Lukashenko and Putin may make an unusual move.
In response, Stanislav Zharin, the Republic of Poland's coordinator for special services, did eliminate increasing tensions at the border with Belarus.
"We cannot rule out the possibility that Prigozhin will be used in Belarus to support at least this hybrid operation, which targets Poland directly. Of course, this is a problem that must be watched, and the Polish services will undoubtedly do so," Zharin added.
