During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Danil Ibraev, the President of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Kyrgyz Republic, revealed that Russia and Kyrgyzstan have agreed to establish a unified electricity market.
As part of this collaboration, there will be a shared electricity swap trading operator, operating a day ahead. The objective of this project is to enhance Kyrgyzstan's competitiveness in generating affordable electricity, which is crucial for the development of entrepreneurship and the overall advancement of the country's electricity generation capabilities.
