A recent survey conducted on the hh.uz site from April 16 to May 7, 2023, gathered responses from 756 job applicants from Uzbekistan.
The survey results showed that most Uzbeks (81%) did not experience salary delays in 2023. However, certain professional areas had a higher percentage of respondents facing late payments. For example, in areas such as art, entertainment, and mass media, 36% of respondents reported salary delays. In "Sports clubs, fitness, and beauty salons," 33% of respondents faced late payments. In tourism, hotels, and restaurants, 29% of respondents reported delayed salaries, while in construction and real estate, the percentage was 24%. Conversely, civil servants and IT specialists had the fewest salary delays, with only 5% and 7%, respectively.
The survey also revealed that compared to the beginning of 2022, 31% of respondents reported an increase in their monthly income, while about half of them stated that their salary remained unchanged. On the other hand, 19% of respondents reported decreased wages.
