President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed plans for several new investment projects at Zaamin Technopark during his visit to the Jizzakh region on July 22, according to the presidential press service.

The technopark, under construction on 400 hectares, has already begun work on nine projects as part of its first phase. Five additional projects are being prepared for the second phase.
One of the key developments includes a partnership with China’s Longze Investment Group to manufacture security and medical equipment. Another collaboration with Chinese company Foxit will establish production lines for laptops, tablets, servers, and routers. Additional initiatives include facilities for producing leather and sports shoes, porcelain dishes, chemical products, and building materials.

The total value of these projects is estimated at $250mn. Around 70% of the finished goods will be exported, underlining the region’s growing role in Uzbekistan’s export-oriented industrial strategy.
Foreign investment in the Jizzakh region has increased significantly in recent years. While only $18mn in foreign funds were absorbed in 2018, the figure surpassed $1bn in 2024. Over the past eight years, $3.7bn has been invested, enabling the launch of more than 4,000 industrial enterprises. The number of companies with foreign capital has now exceeded 260.

President Mirziyoyev also toured the special industrial zone of Zaamin Technopark, whose construction he inaugurated on June 27 last year. According to the presidential press secretary, he is also expected to review a number of other industrial and social infrastructure projects during his regional visit.
