16 hectares of the archaeologically valuable monument 'Shahrukhiya Shahriston' located in the Akkurgan district of Tashkent region was leased to a private sector blatantly breaching the law. The Prosecutor General's Office reports.

Moreover, the contractors and the officials of the cadastral department pandered the construction of a water facility on the 0.4-hectare area of the archaeological monument "Kiyritepa" located in the "Hamid Olimjon" neighbourhood, which caused UZS180 mn of damage.
The regional prosecutors have initiated a criminal case against the officials and company executives.
