On May 4, Ukrainian forces knocked down a Ukrainian combat drone, Bayraktar TB2, after it lost control amid a routine mission above Kyiv.
The reason for the failure is unidentified and the Air Force claims there was no interception. Yet, drone specialists and programmers in Ukraine's army believe that it is impossible to neutralize military drones and that Russian interception is likely.
According to Ellina Shnurko-Tabakova, chairman of the Information Security and Cyber Defense Council, it is simple for Russians to seize command of civilian drones like the Mavic or Matrice, which are commonly used in Ukraine's conflict. Despite the fact that the Ukrainian military has learned to employ civilian drones for self-defense, they are still exposed to the adversary owing to simple coding.
Military drones are more secure, although experts cite examples of drones being forced to descend without command. The two sides' fight goes on, with both sides increasing their technology. Ukraine has been purchasing equipment from American manufacturers since 2014, providing its drone interface with superior and more sophisticated technology than Russia.
