Experts from the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies (IMRS) have identified the regions of Uzbekistan that are most actively supplying products to Germany.
The study used criteria for identifying competitive advantages and territorial diversification of exports. Textiles, chemicals, agricultural products, and non-ferrous metals have become the most attractive goods with competitive export advantages in the German market.
The Institute's analysis revealed several features. Thus, the most active regions of Uzbekistan that export goods to Germany are Tashkent, Namangan, Tashkent, Jizzakh and Fergana regions accounting for over 50% of deliveries in 2018-2022.
The dynamic growth in supplies in 2018-2022 was observed in the Bukhara, Kashkadarya and Andijan regions due to the expansion of production capacities in the food industry.
In total, over that period, the supply of Uzbek goods to Germany rose by 1.7 times, reaching $88.9 mn.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev will be visiting Germany on May 2-3 to negotiate the implementation of promising projects and programs with leading German companies.
