The president of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences to the national leader of the Turkmen people, chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the death of his mother, the press secretary of Mirziyoyev reports.
Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova, the mother of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and grandmother of the current president of the country, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, died at the age of 86.
"The news of the death of your kind and dear parent, Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova, has deeply saddened our hearts. Ogulabat Edje was a respectable person who earned the great love of your country with her exemplary way of life, truly hard work, kindness, and humility. We express our condolences to you, Your Excellency, and all your loved ones, and to the brotherly and friendly people of Turkmenistan in this tragic moment, which is a great loss for your family," - the letter reads.
