As of March 1 2023, the state debt of Kyrgyzstan (external + internal) has amounted to $5 bn 598.9 mn, 24.kg reports in reference to the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the ministry, external and internal debts have made up $4 bn 494.37 mn and $1 bn 104.53 mn respectively.
Over the month, the level of state debt of Kyrgyzstan decreased by $32.17 million (external $26.3 mn and internal $5.86 mn).
More than half (50.4 percent) of the external debt is multilateral loans of $ 2 bn 266.3 mn. $2 bn 175.35 mn (48.4 percent of external debt) the country owes within the framework of bilateral concessional loans. 39.7 percent of this borrowing belongs to the Export-Import Bank of China ($1 bn 782.82 mn).
