On May 16-18, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will host its Annual Meeting and Business Forum in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
'We are excited to bring our dynamic event to a show-stopping and ancient setting in the heart of Central Asia. UNESCO World Heritage-listed Samarkand is also a modern hub for business, education, and culture, providing the ideal scenario for meeting the world in one place, considering the current economic juncture, and formulating the best ways forward', the statement reads.
Reportedly, the international event, focused on the ‘Investing in Resilience’ theme, brings government representatives, economic experts, and business and global thought leaders under one roof to discuss strategies for responding to the current crisis and preparing for a future of sustainable growth. The overall purpose of the Annual Meeting and Business Forum is to discuss and understand and, crucially, to influence actions to ensure a more resilient global economy. The EBRD is a major regional investor essential in facilitating systemic change through finance, policy reform, and technical cooperation. In addition, our leaders will debate the hottest topics with world specialists for better economic outcomes.
The rich three-day program includes discussion panels with experts ranging from implementing digital connectivity to boosting capital markets, investing in sustainable energy and bolstering agribusiness, promoting financial inclusion, and much more. Analyzing challenges and presenting forward-looking solutions will prepare participants to be ambassadors for and investors in a more secure and sustainable future for all.
By participating in the Samarkand event, you will be able to network and identify business opportunities in Central Asia and beyond. The Investment Outlook sessions will focus on specific countries and allow you to gain insights into investment prospects through informal discussions among policy-makers, business representatives, and investors.
