People who tried to bring a few liters of vodka from Russia into the territory of the country in an unusual way were caught in Karakalpakstan, the press service of the Customs Committee reports.
According to the report, a quick investigation was held in the Tortkol district by the employees of the Karakalpakstan Customs Department. During the investigation, it was revealed that one of the passengers of the Khojand-Volgograd train, who was moving through the country in transit mode, threw 48 pieces of plastic bottles with a total of 72 liters of vodka out of the carriage.
The vodka was not intended to reach Volgograd, on the contrary, it was intended to be unloaded in the territory of Uzbekistan for a small profit, and the partners were supposed to take the vodka from the place where it was unloaded.
Also, this fast-tracked passenger train was suddenly stopped by the train watchers using the emergency stop button while traveling through the deserted desert between Raushan and Kunkhoja railway stations.
It is noted that, in fact, there was no emergency. Having made sure that there was no one around, one of the car watchers deliberately stopped the train in order to drop 150 plastic bottles of 225 liters of vodka into the territory of the republic. This person was caught by operatives while unloading vodka from the wagon.
In the case where it was detected at the railway border customs post "Karakalpakstan", one of the passengers put 40 bottles of whiskey of 1 liter each under the seats and into pillowcases, which was not reported in the passenger's customs declaration and in the verbal request of the customs officers.
Currently, the customs authorities are continuing to investigate the abovementioned cases.
