Chinese companies have proposed creating an industrial park of new materials and building a wind power plant in Uzbekistan’s Fergana region, the regional khokimiyat (city administration) reported.

During talks with Fergana khokim (mayor) Khairullo Bozorov, a delegation of Chinese investors outlined several investment initiatives.
Zhongan Materials Technology plans to establish an industrial park focused on new materials. The park will specialize in:
- coal processing and production of environmentally friendly fuel,
- manufacturing modern furniture from metal and wood,
- producing solar-powered lighting equipment,
- developing eco-friendly reinforced concrete blocks (PC blocks),
- and manufacturing wall and ceiling panels from stone polymer materials.

The company also intends to build a business service center and a residential complex within the region.
Another initiative was proposed by Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group, led by Chairman Ma Zhenshan. The company, a major producer of wind turbines, plans to construct a wind power plant in Fergana. The project would support Uzbekistan’s growing renewable energy sector and help diversify the region’s power supply.
Khokim Khairullo Bozorov welcomed the proposals and confirmed the regional government’s readiness to provide full assistance. He emphasized the importance of implementing each project according to a clear plan.
Following the discussions, both sides agreed to take joint steps to accelerate the launch of the projects.
