The "Healthy Society" forum was held in St. Petersburg, Russia, the director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Medical Radiology, Mirzagalib Tillashaykhov informs.

During the bilateral meeting, a number of agreements were reached on free education and training of oncologists in clinical practice, conducting scientific research in the field of fundamental oncology, and conducting joint clinical trials of new modern drugs for the treatment of cancer.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed with the center. According to Tillashaykhov, clinical residents in Uzbekistan now study in Russia for free in the second year of their education. At the same time, Uzbek students who have completed their master's degree will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills for free in this country for one to three months.

In addition, cooperation relations were strengthened by conducting workshops and master classes for Uzbek specialists with the participation of Russian oncologists. In the near future, together with the doctors of Russia, the center will conduct high-tech laparoscopic surgeries and treat serious patients with light therapy.
