Uzbekistan’s apple import reached all-time record in 2022 making up 26,700 tons. This is reported by EastFruit.
In spite of the harvest failure, Iran managed to export more than 15,700 tons of apples to Uzbekistan followed by Poland (4,100 tons) and war-torn Ukraine in third (2,200 tons).
Ukrainian apple producers overtook Moldova, which sold only 2,000 tons.
Turkey took fifth place among the major suppliers of apples to the market of Uzbekistan - 1100 tons.
It’s worth noting the geography of apple exporters to Uzbekistan such as China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, France, Hungary, Latvia, and the Netherlands.
