On February 14, Kazuhisa Kawakami, head of Japan's All Season Travel Company, came to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo to discuss ways of increasing the number of Japanese tourists to Uzbekistan, "Dunyo" news agency reports.
Kawakami said that he visited the country in November 2022 to analyze the business possibilities.
"During my trip, I visited the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. "I was very pleased that the tourism infrastructure in these regions has developed rapidly, new hotels, restaurants, and handicraft shops are working at the same rate," he said.
As a result of the publication of a series of articles on the promotion of Uzbekistan's tourism potential in Japan's leading newspapers, magazines and other mass media, Japanese citizens have expressed their desire to travel to new destinations.
The parties agreed to develop activities aimed at promoting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in major cities of Japan, placing materials in the mass media, as well as a creative tour of the delegation of the leading Japanese television company to Uzbekistan.
