On February 10, President Mirziyoyev visited the Jizzakh free economic zone (FEZ). This was reported by the President's press service.
The Jizzakh FEZ boasts 27 projects employing 5,300 people. In October 2022, "Iruskon" confectionery firm launched its business in this new area exporting products to Russia, Turkey, Germany and Italy under the Deya brand.
Master Building Products Ltd. produces annually 3 million pieces of pipe and fitting products, and construction materials offering 600 workplaces.
Global Optical Communication Uzbekistan-South Korea joint venture’s output is 85,000 kilometres of optical fibre cables.
The President proposed to extend the level of localization and scale up export-oriented products.
