Uzbekistan's Defense Ministry plane on Thursday arrived in Gaziantep, Türkiye with 71 people and medical supplies.
'Most of them (50) are medical personnel who will run the field hospital providing urgent care to all injured during the catastrophic earthquakes this week', Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov reported on his telegram page on Thursday, February 9 at 11:32 a.m. Tashkent time.
'We stand with and pray for Türkiye!', the message reads.
'Along with the aid team and aid materials, Uzbekistan intends to provide medical aid to our country. I would like to thank President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan with all my heart for the solidarity and messages’, Ambassador Olgan Bekar told Daryo and other media in the briefing on Wednesday, February 8.
