Since the beginning of the search and rescue operation, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan have removed 11 injured people and 33 victims of the earthquake from the rubble in Türkiye, the press service of the government department reported in the late evening of February 8.
On February 7, two planes from Uzbekistan delivered humanitarian aid and a group of 100 rescuers to the hardest-hit cities of Adana and Gaziantep to help in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster.
Reportedly, rescuers of Uzbekistan have started search and rescue operations in the village of Ovakent in the province of Hatay, where ethnic Uzbeks live.
