Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday (February 8).

Reportedly, the sides exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming joint events in various formats, including the next round of joint political consultations.
Particular attention was drawn to strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation and deepening relations in the tourism, pharmaceutical, and chemical fields.
Parties have also underscored the importance of intensifying the dialogue between the two countries parliaments and emphasized mutual interest in expanding the legal framework of relations between our states to strengthen the fundamental foundations of interaction at a new level.
The talks also touched upon certain aspects of the international and regional agenda.
The Slovenian delegation is expected to hold meetings at several government agencies of Uzbekistan and participate in the Uzbekistan-Slovenian business forum.
Besides, Slovenian Foreign Minister will visit Tashkent's University of World Economy and Diplomacy to meet with the faculty and students.
