The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) with the support of Uzbekistan's government, sent 12 trucks with more than 48,000 blankets to Afghanistan.
The cargo was sent from the UNHCR Regional Center for Humanitarian Logistics, established with the support of the government of Uzbekistan in October 2021, as part of measures to assist displaced persons and vulnerable groups in a neighboring country during harsh winter, the agency reported on Wednesday (February 8).
