The Center for Economic Research and Reforms provided information on the changes in the trade turnover of Uzbekistan with Central Asian countries for January-December 2022.
According to the results of January-December 2022, the largest share of Uzbekistan's trade turnover with the countries of Central Asia is Kazakhstan - 62%, the rest: Kyrgyzstan - 17%, Turkmenistan - 12% and Tajikistan - 9%.
The foreign trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to 4.6 billion dollars (+ 17.9 percent), the export volume reached 1.4 billion dollars, and the import volume reached 3.2 billion dollars.
Kyrgyzstan held in second with 1.3 billion dollars (+ 32.1 percent) whereas Turkmenistan was in third position with 926.3 million dollars
Overall, the volume of foreign trade of Central Asian countries of Uzbekistan increased by 17.2% and reached 7.5 billion dollars, which was 15% of the total volume of trade.
