Due to extreme weather, the volume of natural gas supplies to some large industrial enterprises was sharply cut, the press service of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy has reported.
Due to the longstanding low temperatures, there is a sharp drop in gas pressure in pipelines. Measures have been taken to deliver natural gas primarily to households, power-generating enterprises, and social facilities. To this end, the volume of natural gas supplies to some large industrial enterprises was sharply reduced and the operation of gas stations was temporarily suspended, the statement reads.
Also, to fully meet the growing demand, gasoline and diesel fuel products will be sold in additional volumes, including at the expense of reserves.
The Ministry of Energy thus urged the population to use public transport when the temperature has dropped, stay at home except for necessary purposes, and use electricity and natural gas economically.
