Akmal Murodov, the head of the information service of "Uzsuvtaminot", said that 3.3 trillion soums from the state budget and 185.5 million dollars from international donor organizations were channelled to improve the drinking water supply of the republic, during the briefing.
A total of 7,130.1 kilometres of drinking and 232.9 kilometres of wastewater networks were laid, and 859 drinking and wastewater facilities were built and reconstructed.
In addition, a total of 82.8 kilometers of drinking water networks were laid, and 121 new pumping equipment were installed at the expense of regional water supply companies.
In addition, 1.8 thousand kilometers of drinking water networks and about 2 thousand pumping equipment were completely and modernly repaired with the help of 44.9 billion soums of financing.
In 2022, the state provided 64.3% of the republic’s population with water meters.
