The legal proceedıngs continue at the Bukhara Regional Court where all 22 suspects talked about their roles during the mass riots that occurred in the city of Nukus on January 11.
According to "Gazeta.uz", the publıc prosecutor asked to jail Dauletmurat Tajimuratov for 18 years and Lolagul Kallikhanova for 11 years by taking into account mitigating and aggravating circumstances.
The court heard the defendant Salamat Kalilayev’s speech. The hearing will proceed on January 12.
On January 7, the testimony of Amanbay Orinbayev, chairman of Dzhokhargi Kenges, was heard in the building. The defendants expressed their sincere regret for their actions, asked for forgiveness and asked to convey it to the president.
