The member of Oliy Majlis Legislative Chamber Rasul Kusherbayev's mandate is prematurely terminated.
On December 26, the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan convened an extraordinary meeting to discuss the issue of the premature termination of Kusherbayev's mandate at the Uzbek Parliament. The members of the commission unanimously decided to terminate the mandate of Rasul Kusherbayev, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.
In accordance with Article 4 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the status of a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a member of its Senate", in order for the mandate of a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis to be terminated before the deadline, the deputy must "abdicate his powers" has the right to submit a written application.
A deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis has the right of immunity, and no state body has the right to influence his decisions.
