On December 23, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decree "On measures to implement administrative reforms of the new Uzbekistan".
According to the document, 12 state administration bodies will stop functioning from January 21, 2023:
➖ Alcohol and tobacco market regulation and winemaking development agency is transferred to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade;
➖ The Agency for Popularization of Foreign Language Learning under the Cabinet of Ministers is divided between the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation;
➖ International Cooperation and Development Agency under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade is transferred to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade;
➖ Insurance Market Development Agency under the Ministry of Finance is transferred to the Ministry of Economy and Finance;
➖ Public-Private Partnership Development Agency under the Ministry of Finance is transferred to the Ministry of Economy and Finance;
➖ Agency for the implementation of capital construction projects in water management under the Ministry of Water Management is transferred to the Ministry of Water Management;
➖ Agency for the development of medical and social services is transferred to the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights;
➖ Consumer Rights Protection Agency under the Anti-Monopoly Committee is transferred to the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights;
➖ "Uzbekchorvanasl" agency under the State Committee for the Development of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry – is transferred to the Committee for the Development of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry;
➖ Education Quality Control Inspection under the Cabinet of Ministers is divided between the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation;
➖ The Center for the Development of Investment Projects under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade is transferred to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade;
➖ The National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare under the Ministry of Health is transferred to the Ministry of Health.
