Uzbek President orders to reduce number of ministries

Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree "On measures to implement the administrative reforms of New Uzbekistan" that aims at optimizing state bodies by the reduction of the number of ministries from 25 to 21.

The updated list of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan:

1. Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade;
2. Ministry of Economy and Finance;
3. Ministry of Mining and Geology;
4. Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy;
5. Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Employment;
6. Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation;
7. Ministry of preschool and school education;
8. Ministry of Natural Resources;
9. Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports;
10. Ministry of Agriculture;
11. Ministry of Water Management;
