In 2022, about 35 thousand Uzbeks were sent to work in Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Germany, England and other European countries via the Agency for external labour migration. Afzal Ermatov, the head of the Agency informed the media about this at the press conference.
Afzal Ermatov said that majority of the Uzbek workers are unskilled labour.
Agreements reached with recruiters from Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Turkey and various European countries offer job places in construction, production and service.
Our current task is to prepare candidates who meet international labour requirements. Because many international companies require special qualifications. That is why we are training potential workers who are going to work abroad in various professions and foreign languages. For example, 17 "Ishga Merhamat" monocenters are operating in this regard in the republic. At the same time, more than 150 vocational training centers and about 10 foreign language training centres are working.
