The Center for Economic Research and Reforms presented a report on the volume of export of goods and receipts of customs payments in Uzbekistan since the beginning of the year, Daryo found out more.
In January-November 2022, customs duties soared by 38.6% compared to the same period in 2021.
Andijan region harvested the highest levy (60.7 percent), Jizzakh came second (55.1 percent), Syrdarya in third (46.7 percent). Tashkent snatched 42.9 percent whereas Fergana region collected 1.9 percent less than the capital.
According to the information of the State Customs Committee, from the beginning of this year to November 30, the volume of export of goods increased by 20.4% compared to the same period last year.
A significant increase in exports was observed in the regions of Sirdarya (40.4%), Andijan (38.5%), Navoi (27.1%), Namangan (25.9%), Samarkand (25.6%) and Tashkent (40, 5 percent) was observed in the city.
The growth of Uzbekistan's exports is explained by the increased growth rates of exports of industrial products, food products, chemicals, and agricultural products.
A decrease in exports was observed in Surkhandarya (-21 percent), Bukhara (-3.4 percent), Jizzakh (-2.9 percent), and Karakalpakstan (-12 percent) regions.
