The Uzbek government has approved the State Fund for Family and Women's Support, the Ministry of Justice reports on the “Huquqiy axborot" Telegram channel.
According to the statute, the main goals of the fund are:
- providing financial assistance to women who have fallen into a difficult social situation;
- Assistance in organizing family and private entrepreneurship, crafts;
- Assistance and encouraging them in acquiring knowledge and skills in occupations that are in high demand in the labor market.
Financial support for women in poor social situations, including those with disabilities, from low-income families, is one of the main areas in which the funds of the fund are spent.
The Presidential decree of March 1, 2022, the State Target Fund for the Support of Women and Girls was reorganized as the State Target Fund for the Support of Family and Women.
