President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India to discuss the enhancement of strategic partnership relations between their countries, during his visit to Kazan.
The meeting focused on various aspects of multilateral cooperation, highlighting the importance of advancing programs in high technologies, artificial intelligence, industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, and transport communications. Both leaders emphasized the need for collaborative efforts in these key sectors to foster mutual growth and development.
A key outcome of the discussions was the agreement to convene the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and to hold a business forum later this year. Additionally, the leaders committed to adopting a medium-term program focused on industrial cooperation, further solidifying the economic ties between Uzbekistan and India.
In a cultural initiative, an offer was made to organize Culture and Cinema Days in both countries. The leaders also proposed joint events in medicine and sports, particularly aimed at engaging youth through parliamentary organizations.
Looking ahead, President Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister Modi deliberated on plans for future high-level events to strengthen their bilateral relations further.
