Uzbekistan’s delegation chaired by Minister of Emergency Situations Abdulla Kuldashev arrived in New Delhi, India, to partake in the regular meeting of the heads of disaster management bodies of SCO member states, Dunyo reports.
India's Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah, confirmed the active bilateral cooperation thanks to the amicable ties between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Besides, a close collaboration had been established between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan and the relevant departments of India in disaster prevention and response.
Representatives of India expressed their readiness to arrange training for the Uzbek specialists at the National Academy of Fire and Safety Engineering (NAFS) in Nagpur.
Uzbekistan's Minister of Emergency Situations Abdulla Kuldashev and Minister of State Home Affairs Shri Nityanand Rai inked a Memorandum of Understanding that envisages cooperation with the National Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of India in the field of emergency prevention and response.
