Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic welcomed a delegation of representatives from German companies led by Karl Ehlerding, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hamburg and co-chairman of the German segment of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council.
The meeting addressed various aspects of collaboration spanning investment, information technology, construction, and industry. Zhaparov commended the recent surge in both political and economic exchanges between Kyrgyzstan and Germany.
Notable milestones included the official visit of German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Kyrgyzstan in June 2023 and President Sadyr Japarov's subsequent trip to Berlin in September 2023. Zhaparov also referenced his involvement in the "Day of the Kyrgyz Economy in Hamburg" event, which catalyzed interest among German enterprises, leading to tangible investment initiatives in Kyrgyzstan.
"Such events bolster Kyrgyzstan's standing as an attractive investment destination, showcasing its inherent strengths," emphasized Zhaparov. "We highly value our partnership with Germany and are committed to further enriching and broadening it across all sectors."
In response, Karl Ehlerding affirmed Germany's steadfast friendship with Kyrgyzstan and pledged support for mutual endeavors. He reiterated Germany's readiness to engage in collaborative ventures beneficial to both nations.
