Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his congratulatory letter to his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the Novruz holiday expressed confidence that the strategic partnership between the two states will reach a new level.
The letter was published in all media in Turkmenistan.
"I am confident that by intensifying mutual visits and trusting dialogue at the highest level, we will be able to further expand the horizons of multilateral and long-term cooperation and bring the strategic partnership to a whole new level".
The President of Uzbekistan also notes that Novruz, with its ancient history, rich and unique charm, as well as deep philosophical content, vividly expresses common customs, ancient traditions and values.

For Turkmenistan, the border with Uzbekistan is the longest among neighbouring countries - about 1,700 km.
In the period from 2017 to 2023, mutual trade has increased more than fivefold, reaching $1.094bn at the end of last year. More than 46,000 Turkmen citizens visited Uzbekistan for commercial purposes last year, topping the list of foreign business tourists.
