A gas explosion in a two-story house located on Sharq Street in the city of Fergana has left three Indian citizens injured. As per to Hayat Shamsutdinov, head of the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, the incident occurred on March 11, causing thermal burn injuries to the occupants of the house.
The three individuals, aged 23 and 21, were residing in the house on rent and were students at the Fergana Public Health Medical Institute. Following the explosion, they were immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Currently, medical personnel are providing necessary care to the injured individuals as they recover from their injuries sustained in the blast. Meanwhile, authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
In response to the situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 259 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the violation of fire safety regulations. The investigation aims to determine the circumstances leading to the gas explosion and hold accountable those responsible for any negligence or wrongdoing that contributed to the incident.
Earlier Daryo reported that Following Kazakhstan, experienced a fire and subsequent gas explosion, resulting in the collapse of the building. Two individuals from Uzbekistan were among the injured, and medical experts have described their condition as extremely severe.
