Bakhtiyor Saidov, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Uzbekistan, revealed the appointment of Sarah Walsh as New Zealand's ambassador to the country, on his Telegram channel. The news was accompanied by a meeting between Saidov and Ambassador Walsh, during which she presented her credentials.
Discussions during the meeting revolved around strategies to bridge the geographical gap between the two countries and explore novel avenues for robust collaboration. The talks touched upon diverse areas such as innovative agriculture and sustainable energy. Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed optimism about the potential for effective cooperation, emphasizing the importance of realizing the substantial benefits inherent in the bilateral relations.
"We wish the ambassador success in her work aimed at realizing the great potential of our bilateral relations," Saidov remarked.
This appointment follows a series of diplomatic activities, including the presentation of credentials by the newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Abat Faizullayev, to the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella. Additionally, the conclusion of the mission of the Uzbekistan Ambassador to Spain and the appointment of a new Ambassador to Great Britain were reported earlier.
