On November 7, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, hosted a meeting with Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, the former Prime Minister of the State of Qatar, who is renowned as the founder of several substantial investment and industrial enterprises in Qatar.
During the meeting, extensive deliberations took place on the execution of promising investment ventures within Uzbekistan. These projects encompass a diverse range of sectors and initiatives aimed at enhancing economic growth and development.
Notable among the discussed projects is the construction of a state-of-the-art hotel complex in Bukhara, a substantial logistics center, a multifunctional trade and residential complex in the capital city, Tashkent. Furthermore, plans are underway for the establishment of high-speed road and railway infrastructure, modernizing airports, and bolstering sectors such as energy, metallurgy, textile manufacturing, animal husbandry, and the production of building materials.
Crucially, the parties explored the formation of a joint fund intended to provide financial backing for these ambitious projects, underpinning a commitment to their successful implementation.
The collaborative nature of these projects is grounded in a comprehensive "road map," highlighting a shared vision for advancing economic, industrial, and infrastructural development within Uzbekistan, and signifying a robust commitment to fostering cooperation between the two nations.
