President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has embarked on an official visit to Russia, commencing with his arrival in Kazan on October 5. This visit marks a significant milestone as it is President Mirziyoyev's first visit to Tatarstan.
Upon his arrival at the international airport named after Gabdulla Tukay, President Mirziyoyev received a warm welcome, greeted by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, as well as the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
The official visit includes a comprehensive program, with high-level meetings scheduled in Moscow on October 6. During these meetings, the leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia will engage in discussions aimed at deepening bilateral relations and expanding multifaceted cooperation. This cooperation encompasses various aspects, including political collaboration, trade and economic ties, investment opportunities, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
Earlier Daryo reported that Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has officially agreed to visit Russia from October 5 to October 7 in response to an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin, as announced by the Presidential Press Service.
