The number of motor vehicles owned by individuals in Uzbekistan reached 4.61mn as of July 1, 2025, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Official data shows that 93% of these vehicles are passenger cars, totaling 4.29mn units. The rest include 302,600 trucks, 7,700 minibuses, 7,300 special vehicles, and 6,100 buses.
Compared to the same period in 2024, the total number of privately owned vehicles has grown by 441,500. Survey results for January–June indicate that there are now an average of 59 passenger cars per 100 households, up from 21 in 2010.
In terms of production, the Cobalt was the most manufactured passenger car model in the country in the first four months of 2025, with 44,747 units assembled between January and April.
As of July 1, 2025, Uzbekistan had 73,600 registered electric vehicles, up 12.88% since April. In the first half of the year, 14,350 EVs were imported, over half of all vehicle imports, with June deliveries alone reaching 4,567 units, or 76% of monthly car imports. Most EVs are in Tashkent, and China is the leading supplier.
