The Center for Strategic Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan is poised to be launched in 2024, with the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan nearing the signing of a memorandum to facilitate this initiative. Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Volvach, made this announcement during a joint meeting of the Uzbek-Russian and Russian-Uzbek Business Councils.
Volvach highlighted the ongoing collaborative efforts between Russia and Uzbekistan to establish the Center for Strategic Development. He emphasized the success of similar centers created with various states and close partners, describing them as valuable platforms for implementing best investment practices, especially for the advancement of small and medium-sized businesses.
"In the near future, perhaps on the sidelines of the intergovernmental commission, we will sign documents, a memorandum that will allow us to form this center, legally formalize it and put it into operation starting next year,"
Volvach stated.
He underscored the potential benefits of this center's creation, emphasizing its positive impact on investment and trade development between the two countries.
This announcement occurred during a joint meeting of the Uzbek-Russian and Russian-Uzbek Business Councils held as part of the third forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, which convened on October 4 in Kazan.
