Uzbekistan's equestrian team participated in the Nations Cup final in Barcelona on September 29, as reported by Horse Expert Magazine.
In the initial round of team competitions on Friday, 15 of the world's top teams, including Uzbekistan, competed.
Teams from the first round either advanced to the consolation final, the Challenge Cup, held on Saturday under the evening lights, or qualified for the grand final on Sunday. In the grand final, teams had the opportunity to compete for the prestigious trophy traditionally passed from one Nations Cup winner to the next.
Riders achieving a "double clear" in both rounds received cash bonuses, regardless of their team's final result.
The first clear round was achieved by Germany's Jana Wargers while riding the 14-year-old horse Dorette.
After the performances of the last four riders from each team, only Germany and the United Kingdom remained penalty-free. Other teams, including Brazil, the USA, Belgium, Spain, Mexico, and Switzerland, each had four penalty points.
Belgium's Gregory Wathelet, the final rider, had one knockdown, resulting in eight penalty points for Belgium after the first round, which allowed the defending champions to advance to the main final on Sunday.
The USA also concluded with eight penalty points due to a mistake by Laura Kraut and her horse Dorado.
Great Britain's success rested on young rider Harry Charles, who, along with Aralyn Blue, delivered a flawless performance in the first round, making them the only team without penalty points, as reported by Horse Expert Magazine.
The final German rider, Richard Vogel, decided not to compete in order to conserve energy for the final day. The team had to consider the result of Christian Kukuk, who incurred four penalty points.
The complete list of teams qualifying for the grand final included Great Britain, Brazil, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, USA, Ireland, and France.
Uzbekistan's team faced faults on the course and will participate only in the consolation final, the Challenge Cup, on Saturday, alongside Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Australia, and Argentina.
