The President of Uzbekistan noted that today world is feeling the full effects of the global trust crisis, which continues to negatively impact global markets and compels to seek alternative trade and logistics routes. In this context, the attention of the participants is focused on the processes in Central Asia.
"This is a completely different, strong, and cohesive region. Our countries effectively confront modern challenges, demonstrating sustainable growth," the President said.
He also mentioned that according to experts from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, in the coming years, the combined GDP growth of countries will consistently remain above 5%. Over the past few years, the countries of the region have successfully addressed many serious issues - they have opened borders, restored trade and transport links, and resumed humanitarian exchanges.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that significant cooperative ventures in sectors including automotive, energy, electrical engineering, textile, chemical, pharmaceutical, and agriculture have been complimented by the establishment of cross-border cooperation centers and financial mechanisms to bolster entrepreneurial endeavors. These initiatives have resulted in an increased international interest in their region, as demonstrated by recent gatherings in Berlin.
"For me and all my colleagues, peace and tranquility, stability, and sustainable development of Central Asia are of paramount importance. Only in such conditions will our region and our countries be attractive to foreign partners and investors," the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
On September 29, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the Economic Forum organized under the auspices of the Eastern Committee of German Economy in Berlin. This significant event was attended by leaders and officials from Central Asian countries.
