Ukrainian troops have already received cluster ammunition, as confirmed by Kiev in the Pentagon. The Ukrainian Armed Forces announced the arrival of their first batch, emphasizing that the ammunition has not been used yet but could "radically change" the situation on the battlefield, Euronews has reported.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Joe Biden concluded his visit to Finland, during which he stated that Ukraine will join NATO and that Vladimir Putin has already lost the war in Ukraine.
"He has no chance of winning the war in Ukraine. He has already lost this war. I hope and expect that you will see Ukraine make significant progress in its offensive, leading to a negotiated settlement," Joe Biden said at a press conference.
In Kyiv, there is regret that temporary timelines for Ukraine's accession to the alliance were not provided at the NATO summit in Vilnius. However, they remain optimistic due to new security guarantees signed by the G7 countries.
"It has only been a day since Vilnius, but six countries have already joined the seven largest democracies in the world, with whom we agreed on security guarantees yesterday: the Czech Republic, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Sweden. Thank you! I am confident that the number of guarantors will increase," said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening video address.
Meanwhile, the Moscow Future Technologies Forum is taking place in Moscow. On July 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Ukraine's NATO membership "will not enhance Ukraine's security" and will "make the world much more vulnerable and lead to additional tensions on the international stage."
