The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Warsaw has facilitated a videoconference between senior officials of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and various Polish enterprises, Dunyo reports.
Khan Baohua, the General Director of "GD Poland International," a wholesale market for textiles in Warsaw, and Janusz Pekhoczynski, the Chairman of CCI "Poland-Asia," presented a proposal to establish a showroom in the Polish market for the wholesale of textile products from Uzbekistan. Pekhoczynski emphasized the crucial role that Poland could play in connecting Uzbek textile manufacturers to the European market. This country in Central Europe has been the leading importer of textile goods from Uzbekistan among EU countries for several years, accounting for over 40% of total textile imports.
"GD Poland International" proposed opening a showroom with samples of Uzbek textile products, including ready-made clothing, for wholesale sales and local contracts. The company's management also offered concessions for renting space for showrooms and warehouses. Establishing textile product sales through "GD Poland International" could promote more Uzbek products on the European market at a lower cost and increase sales volumes significantly. The Polish side suggested developing the showroom concept and submitting it to Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce.
Lukash Domeniak, the General Director of "ANIMEX," a Polish company with a presence in 13 countries, presented an investment proposal for building farms to cultivate and process poultry meat. The company, which has been operating in Poland since 1959, is known for its advanced poultry-growing technologies and is the country's second-largest chicken meat producer and processor. Both parties agreed to send a delegation to Uzbekistan to learn about poultry farming and meat processing. Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry will provide information about the leading poultry producers in Uzbekistan to establish potential partnerships and collaborations.
Peter Bura, Head of "SENEKA," presented a project to construct workshops to produce fish feed for carp, trout, sturgeon, and other fish species in various regions of Uzbekistan. Additionally, a corresponding scientific center for fish production is planned. "SENEKA" produces over 700,000 tons of fish feed annually, making it the 4th largest company in Poland in this field. An agreement was reached with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry representatives on further promoting the projects above. Feed samples will be sent to Uzbekistan shortly to study the market needs before deciding to invest in the construction of feed production workshops.
