In a recent conference convened by the Association of Travel Agencies in Xinjiang, a formal agreement was signed by the association, tourism industry associations, and inter-enterprise consultation and cooperation organizations hailing from five Central Asian countries, media reports.
This non-governmental, non-profit, and informal interregional cooperation organization aims to promote tourism exchanges and collaboration among its members, encourage international exchanges between relevant parties, and foster relevant economies' coordinated economic and social development.
Central Asia is experiencing the most significant growth and potential for China's inbound tourism. China stands as the primary source of inbound tourists for Central Asia. In light of this fact, the formation of this alliance is set to foster closer relationships and increased exchanges among its members. The partnership's objective is to establish a mutual mechanism that will allow its members to shape and expand their tourism markets together, promoting growth and development in the industry.
According to Wu Feng, Head of the Association of Travel Agencies in Xinjiang, this alliance will reinforce exchanges and cooperation between Xinjiang and Central Asian countries in various areas, such as platform establishment, product development, publicity and promotion, information sharing, and market standardization within the cultural and tourism industries.
