As per information available on the official website of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the esteemed Supreme Spiritual Leader of Iran, during his official visit to Tehran on June 18.
The two countries' increasing partnership was specifically mentioned, with a focus on commerce, innovation, advanced technology, investment, industrial cooperation, transportation and communication, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The message emphasized the cultural and historical connection between the two peoples that have been developed over many centuries.
According to the latest report on Daryo, the meetings held between the President of Uzbekistan and his Iranian counterpart, Ibrahim Raisi, resulted in the signing of over 15 significant documents.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ibrahim Raisi attended a specialist exposition of innovations and technologies in Tehran. The expo showcased products from various enterprises involved in research and production in the fields of high technologies and innovations, mechanical engineering, instrumentation, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, new construction materials, and the textile sector.
The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has instructed qualified personnel to explore the potential for creating joint ventures to produce high-value items and pilot schemes aimed at introducing innovative Iranian technology in Uzbekistan. In preparation for his visit, the Iranian House of Innovation and Technology (IHIT) branch was established in Tashkent. The center aims to offer Uzbekistan Iranian knowledge-based, technological, and creative products and foster scientific collaboration between the two nations.
