Uzbekistan's schoolteachers and kindergarten teachers will be eligible for free medical treatment and health restoration. The Ministry of Health has organized the ‘Health month teachers and Mentors’ campaign from July 1 to August 1, during which educators would undergo both preventive and in-depth medical examinations, including screening tests.
With over 510,000 teachers employed in 10,118 general education schools and 29,420 kindergartens throughout the country, the results of these exams will be used to diagnose and treat any chronic illnesses.
New patients will undergo checkups and be given individualized treatment, while those with acute or chronic conditions will receive day-care treatment or in-patient care as needed. Those requiring specialized medical care will be given preferential referrals to regional and republican institutions.
