Kazakhstan is the number one burger-consuming country in Central Asia. Kazakh people ordered 3,210,645 burgers over the past year, Daryo.uz correspondent reports.
The data say that the country accounts for 47% of the total regional consumption by ordering six burgers per minute.
Kazakhstan placed 6th in the ranking with the highest consumption of fast food conceding only to Spain, Italy, Romania, Poland and Portugal.
Although they prefer a hamburger both at lunch and dinner, the fast-food orders shoot out during the dinner peak hours, starting from seven. On average, 35% of hamburgers are gobbled daily between 18:00 and 21:00, and 27% of foodies enjoy eating hamburgers from 12:00 to 15:00.
Almaty demonstrated the highest rates with 70.6% of the total annual consumption, Astana is second – (11.7%) followed by Shymkent in third (8.87%).
