The 76th session of the World Health Assembly is currently taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
During the event, a delegation led by Uzbekistan's Minister of Health, Amrillo Inoyatov, engaged in a dialogue with Ajar Giniyat, the Minister of Health of Kazakhstan.
The meeting highlighted the ongoing development of bilateral cooperation in the field of medicine in recent years. The two parties are closely collaborating in various areas, including the digitalization of healthcare systems, the introduction of medical insurance, ensuring sanitary-epidemiological stability, and advancing the pharmaceutical industry.
Furthermore, both countries annually implement programs for doctors and medical university students, organizing experience exchanges and master classes. The discussion primarily focused on the prospects of cooperation within the World Health Organization, particularly its European regional office.
The "roadmap" for supporting health and well-being in Central Asian countries from 2022 to 2025, developed by the organization, was noted for reflecting the region's healthcare efforts and promoting unity. This document encompasses crucial measures to address issues related to the climate crisis, COVID-19 complications, healthcare systems in Central Asia, maternal and child health improvement, and the prevention of non-communicable diseases.
The meeting addressed the acceleration of implementing priority goals and tasks outlined in the "roadmap." It was agreed to further expand mutual cooperation in healthcare, and organize joint scientific and practical conferences, forums, seminars, and exhibitions.
