The implementation of the railway construction project "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" is expected to bring the region out of the traffic deadlock and connect about 4bn people, according to the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov.
He also emphasized that the strategic project would result in many benefits, such as expanding the geography of transportation from Asia through Turkiye to Europe and the Middle East, Iran, the Persian Gulf, and North Africa. In addition, the recent Tashkent Investment Forum served as an international discussion platform and has a promising future, Japarov added.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers added that the global economic center of gravity is shifting, and emerging economies are expected to have an economy twice the size of G-7 countries by 2050. In addition, the world is moving towards fragmentation into regional and subregional economic blocs, and they will have economic weight and global authority.
Akylbek Japarov also outlined the competitive advantages of Central Asia, emphasizing its role as a geopolitical intermediary that interacts with different countries and communities that share similar cultural, historical, and traditional values.
